Rapid Patient Assessment - 6 CEUs $50.00

So much can go wrong and unnoticed with emergent patients and so many patients come through your doors. How do you tell the difference and what do you do once you notice? Do you have a system to quickly and efficiently identify, evaluate, categorize, and treat the emergent patient? This class introduces, or reacquaints, learners with the Rapid Cardiopulmonary Assessment and provides hands on scenarios for using it treat patients with a diverse set of problems such as shock, myocardial infarction, burns, pediatric illnesses, neurologic emergencies and more.

Managing Respiratory Distress - 6 CEUs $50.00

Class Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm

During this hands-on, scenario based program, participants will learn how to triage a patient in respiratory distress, recognize common signs and symptoms of distress and determine what initial treatment interventions are most important. In debriefing scenarios participants will identify causes of respiratory distress, various diseases, and learn treatment protocols.

EKG and Crash Cart - 6 CEUs $50.00

Class Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm

This hands-on, scenario based program reviews the fundamental components necessary to understand EKG assessment; including, heart anatomy, electrical conduction, lead placement and initial assessment. Considering various heart conditions and associated potentially lethal dysrhythmias, the class finishes with Crash Cart/Arrest Emergency Operations and scenarios.

Acute Care Management of Chest Pain - 6 CEUs $50.00

Class Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm

This hands-on, scenario based class will discuss how to identify and treat patients with chest pain. It will review equipment used for treatment of chest pain, the common causes of chest pain and apply general treatment protocols to a diverse set of patient complaints that result in chest pain; cardiac and non-cardiac. We will specifically deal with Pulmonary Embolism, Pneumothorax, Myocardial Infarction, Esophageal Foreign Bodies and Congestive Heart Failure.
